Students in the Fifth Grade receive instruction in Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, and Health as recommended by  current Indiana State Standards.  Additionally, students participate in Religion, Physical Educaiton, Technology, and Fine Arts classes.  Other educational opportunities are provided throughtout the school year including DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education), Junior Achievement, Accelerated Reading, and, for those interested, Beginning Band.

Students develop citizenship and responsibility to their community as they carry out duties as members of the Safety Patrol, Fire Assistance Team, Student Announcers, School Family Leaders, as well as servers, cantors, and lectors at Mass.  Each spring students take part in a service project, by completing a hand-made quilt.  The proceeds from the sale of the raffle tickets is donated to the parish and the school.
